When the dealer said "I think 100," as in 100 grand, Bill quickly said, "Don't bother Claus." Today, it would be impossible to piece together a collection like that of the Gladstones' from antique shows. "A lot of this stuff was not meant to last," Wood says. "The ticket booth sign was meant to be a ticket booth sign. It wasn't meant to be a work of art."
