And what was that? It was called Opposite Sex. It was terrible (laughs).
What evolved after that? Well, the show got cancelled, unfortu- nately. And then for the next two years I did a pilot each year. Neither pilot got picked up, but it kept me busy. I did little things here and there, little episodes of TV shows and things like that, and that took me until about 2001 when I got my first film, Not Another Teen Movie. After that, my team said, 'All right let's cool it on pilot season. Let's not gun for TV. Let's try and get some films.' Then after that, I did a film called The Perfect Score. It's another gem (laughs). It was the time in life when you were just so happy to get a job.
What movies followed? After that I did Cellular. Cellular was a step in a different direction. I switched agencies. I went to a bigger agency. And then after Cellular, I did Fantastic Four which was a bigger studio movie … After that, it started to become more like, 'Okay, we can't just take any job now. We have to start trying to navigate a career.
