Meanwhile, at the far end of the spectrum from diabetes management and
cancer surgery, but still along the same
continuum of physical and mental wellness, is a facility like Invidia Spa and
Salon. This Sudbury business recently
won its second PBA Symposium award
for Elite Salon of the Year for Growth and
Excellence, an internationally recognized
honor. Director of Salon and Spa Services
Jasmin Patzleiner says that she has observed a change in her clientele as far as
what people are seeking.
She sees visitors to the spa looking for a
balance of beauty and health. A manicure
or haircut may visibly improve someones
appearance, but she estimates that twenty to
twenty-five percent of her salons business
comes from people using non-visible spa
services such as body wraps and massage.
Of course, a lot of our clientele still want
to see tangible results, such as improvement
in their skin. But others are just looking for
a way to stop rushing through life and balance health with results, she says. Its her
contribution to her clients wellness.
